Follow-up intervals
Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite bonded to the front of teeth to change their shape, colour or spacing. A photograph shows the surface that is visible, but not how much of the natural tooth was prepared beneath it.
Veneers are generally made over a few visits: the teeth are prepared, temporary veneers are worn while the final ones are made, and the final ones are bonded. Teeth can feel sensitive for a short time afterwards.
Veneers do not last for life. They can chip, loosen or stain at their edges, and may need replacing after some years, so the photograph shows how they look at one moment, not how they will look later.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
