Medical Review Policy

Who reviews medical claims on this site, what they check, and how review dates are recorded and refreshed.

Where a guide has been medically reviewed, the page names the reviewer and the date of that review. A page with no named reviewer has not yet been reviewed by a clinician.

What a medical reviewer checks

  • That described techniques, risks, and recovery timelines are consistent with mainstream clinical understanding.
  • That risk and contraindication information is not omitted to make a procedure look more favourable.
  • That absolute claims ("guaranteed," "100% safe," "zero risk") are never used.
  • That cited sources actually support the specific claim they're attached to.

Reviewer qualifications

Medical reviewers are licensed healthcare professionals with relevant specialty experience. We do not invent reviewer credentials — every reviewer profile links to verifiable credentials.

Re-review schedule

Published guides are re-reviewed on a recurring schedule, and sooner if clinical guidance, pricing, or provider information materially changes.
