Follow-up intervals
Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite bonded to the front of teeth to change their shape, colour or spacing. A photograph shows the surface that is visible, but not how much of the natural tooth was prepared beneath it.
Look at the shape and the length of the teeth, and at whether they look natural beside each other. Teeth that are all the same size and the same bright white can look artificial; slight variation in length and colour is normal in natural teeth.
Check the gum line next to each veneer and the edge where the veneer meets the tooth. Lighting and colour editing change teeth in photographs, so check that both images were taken in the same light.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
