Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
Rhinoplasty changes the shape of the nose — the bridge, the tip, the width or the angle — and, when the septum or nasal valves are included, how well air passes through it. A single pair of photographs can show some of that change, but not all of it: the swelling that remains, the skin type and the surgeon's plan all sit outside the frame.
Start with the side view. The profile line from the top of the nose to the tip shows the bridge, any hump and how far the tip projects. Then compare the front view: is the bridge straight, are the two sides of the tip alike, and has the width at the base changed in proportion to the face?
Check that both photographs were taken from the same angle, at the same distance and in the same light. A slight tilt of the head or a different lens can make a nose look shorter, straighter or more refined than it is. The viewer on this page keeps both photographs at the same size and position for that reason.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
