Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
A facelift lifts and tightens the deeper tissues of the face and neck and removes some excess skin. A photograph captures the contour of the face, but the technique, the depth of the lift and the patient's skin quality all sit outside the frame.
Look at the line of the jaw and the neck, and at the folds that run from the nose to the mouth and from the mouth to the chin. A good result usually looks like the same person at a younger point in life rather than a different face.
Check that the expression, the head position and the lighting match in both photographs. A slight lift of the chin, a raised eyebrow or a smile can smooth the face as much as a surgical change. Look at the hairline and the ear, where scars are placed, if they are visible.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
