Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
Buccal fat removal takes out the small pads of fat in the lower cheeks, usually through an incision inside the mouth, to give the lower face a slimmer look. A photograph shows the contour at one moment, but not how the face will change as the person ages.
Ask whether your face shape and fat distribution are suited to the procedure, because not everyone has a pad that makes a difference. Ask about the effect on the face as you age, which is a reason some surgeons are cautious.
Ask who performed the surgery, how asymmetry is avoided and what the risks are, including infection and injury to nearby structures. Ask for the plan, the price and the aftercare arrangement in writing.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
