A breast lift reshapes the breast and raises the nipple, usually by removing excess skin and tightening the tissue. A before-and-after can show the new position and shape, but scar placement, the amount of tissue and the patient's skin quality are harder to judge from a single frame.
The first days bring tightness, swelling and soreness, and a surgical bra is worn. Wound checks and dressing changes continue for the first one to two weeks, and most people return gradually to normal activity between weeks two and six.
The breasts settle into their final position between three and six months, and the scars continue to fade and flatten for a year or more. Early photographs show a breast that has not yet finished settling.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
