Follow-up intervals
Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
A breast lift reshapes the breast and raises the nipple, usually by removing excess skin and tightening the tissue. A before-and-after can show the new position and shape, but scar placement, the amount of tissue and the patient's skin quality are harder to judge from a single frame.
Look at the position of the nipple relative to the fold under the breast — it should sit higher after a lift. Then look at where the fullness sits: a lift moves tissue upwards, but does not by itself make the breasts larger.
Compare the two sides, and look at the scars if they are visible, since a lift leaves incisions around the nipple and often down and along the breast. Photographs taken with the arms in a different position, or in a different bra, can make the lift look greater or smaller than it is.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
