Breast augmentation with implants changes the size and shape of the breasts. A pair of photographs shows the outer result only: the implant's size and type, its position relative to the muscle and the incision are not visible, and neither is the patient's own tissue.

Questions to ask before relying on a result like this

Ask which implant was used — silicone or saline, round or anatomical — what size and how it was chosen, whether it lies above or below the muscle, and which incision was used. Ask who operated, and for the implant details to be recorded for you.

Ask how implants are monitored over the years, because they are not permanent devices and may need replacing. Ask for the plan, the price and the follow-up arrangement in writing before you decide.
