Rhinoplasty in Istanbul

More surgeons on our register list rhinoplasty in Istanbul than anywhere else in Turkey. How to narrow the field, how the week around surgery usually runs in the city, and what to settle before you book.

Istanbul is where most rhinoplasty surgeons on our register practise — more than two hundred list it — so choosing the city is the easy part. The harder part is turning a very long list into two or three consultations that are worth your time, and fitting surgery, splint removal and a check-up into one trip.

This page deals only with having rhinoplasty in Istanbul: finding and comparing local surgeons, how the week is normally structured, what differs in Istanbul quotes and what to take home. How rhinoplasty works, its risks and how technique is chosen are covered in the national guide to rhinoplasty in Turkey. If you have had nose surgery before, start with revision rhinoplasty.

Istanbul Surgeons Listing Rhinoplasty

Each surgeon below lists Istanbul as their main city and rhinoplasty among their procedures, drawn from their own websites, hospital staff pages or our register. The list is not a ranking: its order says nothing about safety or skill.

Compare all 236 surgeons in Istanbul listing rhinoplasty

Almost all of the Istanbul rhinoplasty surgeons on our register are plastic surgeons. Ear, nose and throat surgeons with facial plastic training also perform rhinoplasty in the city, and not all of them are listed on this site, so a surgeon's absence here says nothing about their standing.

A shortlisting method for a crowded market

  1. Filter on the nose you have. A thick-skinned nose, a crooked nose with blocked breathing and a small hump are different problems. Keep surgeons whose published cases resemble yours.
  2. Check breathing is part of their assessment. A clinical practice guideline on rhinoplasty recommends assessing nasal obstruction before surgery; ask whether the consultation includes an internal examination.
  3. Look at side and base views, not only front photographs, taken a year or more after surgery.
  4. Ask who does what. Confirm the named surgeon performs the operation, and who removes your splint.
  5. Compare two or three written plans rather than many quick price replies.
02

Hospitals and Clinics for Rhinoplasty in Istanbul

Rhinoplasty is usually performed under general anaesthesia, and the NHS notes that one or two nights in hospital are likely. In Istanbul, a surgeon may consult in one district and operate in a hospital elsewhere. Confirm the operating hospital by name, check that facilities treating international patients appear on the HealthTürkiye certified provider list, and ask the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate or the hospital directly if anything is unclear.

03

How a Rhinoplasty Week Usually Runs in Istanbul

The schedule is built around the splint, which the NHS describes as staying on for about seven days.

DayTypical stepPlan ahead for
1Arrival and transferChoosing a hotel near the hospital or the clinic where checks happen
2Consultation, internal nasal examination, photographs, blood testsEnough time to discuss the plan before consenting
3Surgery; often an overnight hospital stayA companion or a clear overnight contact
4–6Rest in hotel with head raised; blocked nose and bruisingSoft food, no bending, no hot baths or hammam
7–8Splint and external stitches removed, first reviewTransport to the review address
After reviewFly home when your surgeon agreesWritten aftercare and follow-up arrangements

Asking for the consultation at least a day before surgery gives you room to reconsider if the plan differs from what was discussed remotely.

Rhinoplasty Costs in Istanbul

We do not hold a separate, independently collected Istanbul price list. Istanbul providers price rhinoplasty within the national range described in the Turkey guide, where September 2026 advertised prices are set out with their caveats.

The local differences worth asking about are:

Before Booking in Istanbul

  • the surgeon's name, specialty and confirmation that they operate from start to finish
  • the hospital name, address and HealthTürkiye certification
  • whether the plan is cosmetic only or includes breathing surgery
  • consultation, surgery and splint-removal dates in writing
  • deposit terms if the surgeon recommends a different operation at examination
  • how swelling questions and later concerns will be handled remotely
06

Recovering in Istanbul and Choosing an Airport

Plan around 7–10 days in the city. For the first week, avoid crowded public transport, steep walks and anything that risks a knock to the nose; keep sunglasses off the bridge of the nose until your surgeon allows them, and avoid saunas, the hammam and swimming until you are cleared.

  • ISTIstanbul AirportPrimary international gateway on the European side.
  • SAWSabiha Gökçen International AirportSecondary airport on the Asian side.

Istanbul has airports on both sides of the Bosphorus, and road traffic between the two sides can be slow. Book the airport nearest the hospital or the review clinic rather than the cheapest flight, especially for the journey home with a healing nose.

07

Before You Fly Home

  • operation notes describing the work performed, including any grafts or septum surgery
  • written instructions on nasal rinsing, taping, sun exposure and glasses
  • a named contact and the agreed plan for remote follow-up reviews
  • advice on what needs urgent local care, such as heavy bleeding, fever or worsening pain
08

Request Rhinoplasty Options in Istanbul

Send your photographs, breathing history and goals securely to receive rhinoplasty options from Istanbul providers. A request is not a booking; the operation is only confirmed after examination by the surgeon who will operate.

Why Türkiye

What Türkiye offers, and how to check it

A national authorisation scheme, specialist surgeons and prices set beside those of the countries patients travel from — each with a source you can check.

  • A national authorisation scheme

Hospitals and clinics treating international patients must hold a Ministry of Health health-tourism authorisation and, under the 2025 regulation, must also carry complication insurance for operating-room procedures.

    How providers are checked
  • 1,935 plastic surgery specialists

Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery is its own specialty in Türkiye, and every profile states the surgeon's title, what we checked and, where we hold it, where they practise.

    Meet the surgeons
  • Prices you can compare in the open

Türkiye set against the NHS and American Society of Plastic Surgeons figures for the same operation — nothing converted between currencies, every figure dated.

    Compare the figures
  • 845 hospitals and clinics, 70 cities

1,949 surgeons and 40 procedures listed, from Istanbul and Ankara to İzmir and Antalya — and a patient team to help you shortlist.
