Breast Lift in Istanbul

Questions for an Istanbul shortlist

The lift-with-implants question deserves care. A systematic review of 4,856 single-stage augmentation-mastopexy cases found a pooled complication rate of 13.1%, with recurrent sagging the most common problem, and noted that study quality varied. Some surgeons prefer to lift first and add implants later; ask which they would choose for you and why.

A breast lift is usually done under general anaesthesia with one night in hospital. Confirm that the hospital is on the HealthTürkiye certified provider list, ask which anaesthetist will be involved, and ask who handles dressing changes. The Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate oversees health facilities in the city.

Patients commonly plan around 7 to 10 days, including one night in hospital, so that wounds can be checked before flying. In the first days expect tightness and soreness, a surgical bra, short walks and no lifting. Stay near the place where your first reviews will happen: in a city the size of Istanbul that matters more than the view. Pack light, because you should not lift heavy luggage, and ask your surgeon when the surgical bra can be changed for a normal one.

There is no separate Istanbul price list. In September 2026 Turkish providers advertised a lift without implants at about €2,250–€4,900, with implants advertised as roughly €1,200–€2,000 extra; the breast lift cost page shows what packages include. These are advertised figures, not quotes.

In Istanbul, check whether a quote is for the lift alone or for the lift with implants, which technique is assumed, how many nights are included, and whether post-operative checks happen at the hospital or in the surgeon's office across town.

Have the surgeon's name and specialty, the technique, implant make and size if implants are included, the hospital address, nights in hospital, dates for wound checks and the deposit terms, in writing. Ask what happens if examination changes the plan from a lift to a lift with implants.

The NHS recommends not flying for 5 to 7 days after breast surgery, and the CDC says medical tourists should not fly for 10 days after chest or abdominal surgery. Your surgeon decides which applies to you. Ask about compression stockings and walking on the flight.
