Follow-up intervals
Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
A mommy makeover combines several operations, usually on the breasts and the abdomen, in one stay. Because it is a bundle, one photograph cannot show which operations were included, how long the surgery lasted or how the combination shaped the recovery.
Hospital stays of two to three nights are typical, with pain control, drains, early walking and clot prevention. In the first two weeks you may walk bent forward, drains may be removed and garments are worn, and you will need help with children and the household.
Activity returns gradually over weeks two to six, and lifting children is not allowed until your surgeon says so. Swelling settles and scars mature over months three to twelve, and the final result is assessed at six to twelve months.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
