Who this case belongs to

Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.

Liposuction removes localised fat from areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs or arms. A photograph shows the contour that is left, but not the volume removed, the technique used or the quality of the skin, which governs how well the area settles.

What to look at in a liposuction before-and-after

Look at the contour of the treated area from the front, the side and the back, rather than from one angle alone. Check for smoothness: unevenness, dents or a skin surface that looks looser than before can be as important as the amount of fat removed.

Consider the posture, the lighting and whether the person is standing in the same way, since a slight change in stance alters the look of the abdomen and flanks. Liposuction contours the body but does not tighten loose skin or treat weight as such.

Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.

One case is not a forecast

One person's result reflects their anatomy, their healing and the technique chosen for them. It is not evidence of what your own result would be — only an in-person assessment can tell you that.
