Follow-up intervals
Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
A Hollywood smile is a cosmetic makeover of the front teeth, usually with porcelain veneers or crowns and often with whitening. A photograph shows the colour and shape of the finished teeth, but not how much of the natural tooth was reshaped to make room for them.
Treatment is usually done over a few visits: preparation of the teeth, temporary teeth while the final ones are made, and fitting. Some sensitivity and a need to adjust to the new bite are common in the first days.
The final result is judged once the gums have settled around the new teeth and the bite is comfortable. A photograph of temporary teeth shows a stage, not the finished work.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
