Who this case belongs to
Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
Facial fat transfer takes fat from one part of the body and injects it into the face to restore volume. A photograph shows the volume at one moment, but part of the transferred fat is absorbed over time, so the early image is not the final one.
What to look at in a facial fat transfer before-and-after
Look at the areas that were treated — commonly the cheeks, the under-eye hollows or the temples — and compare the volume and the smoothness of the contour. A natural result usually looks fuller and more rested, not swollen.
Compare the two sides and check for lumps or unevenness. Because the face changes with weight, expression and lighting, check that both photographs were taken in the same way.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
