Follow-up intervals
Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
Blepharoplasty removes or repositions excess skin, and sometimes fat, on the upper or lower eyelids. A photograph shows the lids themselves, but not what was done beneath the skin, nor how the eyebrows, the forehead and the eyes' own shape contribute to the look.
Ask which lids were operated on, whether skin only or skin and fat was removed, and who performed the surgery. Ask whether a low brow or a drooping lid, which are different problems, was assessed as part of the plan.
Ask about dry eyes, how the surgeon deals with a lid that will not close fully, and what follow-up you can expect once you are home. Ask for the plan, the price and the aftercare arrangement in writing.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
