Each case appears on the pages of the procedure, surgeon and facility named here.
All-on-4 replaces a whole arch of teeth with a fixed bridge supported by four dental implants. A photograph shows the finished teeth, but not the implants, the bone beneath them or the planning behind the position of the bridge.
A fixed temporary bridge is often fitted soon after the implants are placed, so the person can leave with teeth. The implants need time to bond with the bone, commonly several months, before a final bridge is made.
A photograph of the temporary teeth therefore shows a stage rather than the end of treatment. Ask which stage a given image shows, and how the final bridge differs.
Results vary between patients. Images should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a similar outcome.
