Breast Augmentation in Istanbul

These surgeons list Istanbul as their city and breast augmentation among their procedures, from their own websites, hospital staff pages or our register. The list is not a ranking: its order says nothing about safety or skill.

With this many options, narrow the list before contacting anyone:

• keep surgeons whose training is in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and who list breast surgery among their regular work
• prefer surgeons who operate in a hospital you can identify, with a named anaesthesia team
• look for photographs of patients whose breasts and chest width resemble yours
• ask each shortlisted surgeon whether they think you need an implant alone or a lift as well — different answers are informative

In Istanbul, a surgeon's consulting practice and the operating hospital are often in different places. Before booking, confirm:

• the hospital where surgery takes place, and that it is listed on HealthTürkiye as a certified health service provider
• whether you stay overnight in hospital and who monitors you
• where your wound check and follow-up appointments will be held
• how you will get from your hotel to each of those places

Timelines differ between providers, but a typical sequence for an international patient looks like this:

A consultation the day before surgery leaves little room to reconsider if the surgeon recommends a different implant or a lift. If your schedule allows, ask for the consultation to be held at least a day earlier.

What varies locally is usually:

• The surgeon's name and specialist training, and that they will perform the whole operation
• The operating hospital's name and address, and its HealthTürkiye certification
• The implant manufacturer, model, volume, surface and placement proposed
• Whether a lift has been ruled in or out, and the price if it is recommended at examination
• The dates of consultation, surgery and follow-up, and how many days you should stay in Istanbul
• What happens to your deposit if the plan changes or surgery does not go ahead
• How capsular contracture, bleeding or implant problems after you return home would be handled

Plan for around 5–7 days in Istanbul after breast augmentation, longer if a lift is added. Chest soreness makes lifting luggage, climbing stairs and long car journeys uncomfortable in the first days, so choose a hotel with a lift near the facility where your checks will be held, and let your provider arrange transfers.

Choose your airport by where your surgeon works: travelling from one side of Istanbul to the other can take a long time in traffic. Avoid saunas, the hammam, swimming pools and the sea until your surgeon confirms that your wounds have healed.

Your surgeon decides when you are ready to travel. Before departure, make sure you have:

• your implant card or a written record of manufacturer, model, volume and lot numbers for each side
• your operation notes and discharge summary
• instructions on the support bra, wound care, activity and when stitches are removed
• the date and format of your next review
• a named contact for concerns after you return, and advice on symptoms that need urgent local care — such as sudden swelling of one breast, fever or increasing pain

On long flights, walk regularly, drink water and follow any clot-prevention advice you have been given.
